Unidentified Dead Body Recovered in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar

Mohammad Khorshed Helali, Cox’s Bazar: Ukhiya police have recovered an unidentified dead body from in front of the MSF office in Ghilatoli, Rajapalong Union, Ukhiya Upazila.

The body was discovered by locals around 1 PM on Tuesday (May 6), who then informed the police. Acting on the information, a team from Ukhiya Police Station arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Champak Dash of Ukhiya Police Station stated that the police were informed by locals about a dead body lying in the area. Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and transported it to the Upazila Health Complex.

Hearing the news, some people from Eidgaon in Cox’s Bazar came to identify the body. They mentioned that one of their relatives was missing. However, after seeing the body, they confirmed that it was not their missing relative.

As of 3:30 PM, the identity of the deceased remains unknown.
