Uncle and Nephew Die from Excessive Drug Use in Golapganj

A. F. M. Asad Ullah: Reports have surfaced of the deaths of uncle Farid Ahmed (45) and nephew Rubel Ahmed (36) due to excessive drug use in Golapganj.

The incident occurred on Sunday night at the residence of Selim Uddin in the North Goyaspur Rui Ghar village of Sadar Union in the upazila. Relatives found them unconscious and took them to the Golapganj Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

The deceased Farid Ahmed was the son of Tamjid Ali from North Goyaspur Rui Ghar village, while Rubel Ahmed was the son of Sayedur Rahman from Saroker Bazar village in Kanaighat Upazila. It has been confirmed that they were uncle and nephew.

Golapganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Moniruzzaman Molya confirmed the incident. He further stated that legal proceedings regarding the matter are underway.
