Two Arrested with 20 Rounds of Bullets in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar

Mohammad Khorshed Helali Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Police have arrested two individuals with 20 rounds of bullets in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. They were detained on Saturday night (April 12) from the Chowdhury Para area of Hnila Union.

The information was confirmed by Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Gias Uddin.

The arrested individuals are Muhammad Selim from Zhimongkhali village of Hoikyang, Teknaf, and Raziya Begum.

According to the police, the arrests were made during a search operation at a temporary checkpoint in front of the Chowdhury Para Buddhist Monastery. During the search of a CNG-run autorickshaw, the suspects voluntarily handed over 10 rounds of bullets each from their possession.

OC Md. Gias Uddin of Teknaf Model Police Station stated that during interrogation, the suspects claimed the bullets belonged to a fugitive accused. A case has been filed in connection with the incident, and further details will be known after investigation.
