A F M Asad Ullah: Acting President of Sylhet Metropolitan BNP and former Panel Mayor of SCC, Rezaul Hasan Kayes Lodi, stated that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, the proclaimer of Bangladesh’s great independence, was the most successful head of state in the country’s history. He fought valiantly on the battlefield and assumed the role of the best ruler during the nation’s critical times. His tenure as a leader is considered a golden era in Bangladesh’s history. Organizing a book fair to highlight Shaheed Zia’s life and works is undoubtedly an excellent initiative. The upcoming 11-day Shaheed Zia Book Fair, set to begin on May 20 at the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar, must be made a collective success.
He made these remarks on Saturday afternoon as the chief guest at a street rally during leaflet distribution, organized by Kamal Sahitya Parishad Sylhet, in the Chowkidekhi area of the city to promote the success of the Shaheed Zia Book Fair 2025. During the program, leaflets containing the 31-point agenda for state structure reform proposed by Tarique Rahman were distributed.
The leaflet distribution program was presided over by Sajon Ahmad Saju, President of Kamal Sahitya Parishad Sylhet, and conducted by Moinul Islam, Vice President of Sylhet Metropolitan Jubo Dal.
