Tarique Rahman’s Eid Gifts to the Family of BNP Leader Killed in Jail

Barlekha-Juri (Moulvibazar) Correspondent:

BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended support to the family of BNP leader Alauddin from Chandgram, Nij Bahadurpur Union, Barlekha Upazila, who was killed in Moulvibazar Jail. On Sunday afternoon, following his instructions, representatives of the BNP family visited the home of the deceased leader Alauddin, bringing financial assistance, Eid gifts, and an Eid card. The team included Moulvibazar District BNP Convener and former mayor Advocate Faizul Karim Moyun, Member Secretary Abdur Rahim Ripon, and JASAS Central Executive Committee member Syed Ashraful Majid Khokon, among others.

The district BNP leaders handed over the financial aid and gifts sent by BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to Alauddin’s son Shamim Ahmad and other family members.

It is noteworthy that in January 2023, Alauddin was sent to Moulvibazar Jail following an order by the Barlekha Senior Judicial Magistrate Court in connection with a false case filed by a local Awami League leader. Two days later, Alauddin suffered a heart attack and died in jail.
