Rain Forecast in Sylhet

District Correspondent, Sylhet: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunderstorms in Sylhet within the next 24 hours. This information was provided in the forecast issued for 120 hours starting from 9:00 AM on Saturday.

According to the forecast, a trough of low pressure extends over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Under this condition, some parts of the Sylhet division may experience temporary gusty winds with lightning or rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

From 9:00 AM on Sunday to the next 24 hours, temporary gusty winds with lightning or rain accompanied by thunderstorms may occur in one or two places in Sylhet division.

The weather office stated that from 9:00 AM on Monday to the next 24 hours, similar weather conditions may prevail in one or two places in Sylhet division.

The forecast for 9:00 AM Tuesday to the next 24 hours also indicated the possibility of temporary gusty winds with lightning or rain accompanied by thunderstorms in one or two places in Sylhet division.

Moreover, on Wednesday, a few places in Sylhet division may experience temporary gusty winds with lightning or rain accompanied by thunderstorms. During this time, both daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country may decrease slightly.

Regarding the extended five-day weather outlook, the Meteorological Department mentioned that the tendency for rain or thunderstorms is likely to increase, and temperatures may drop further.

During this period, Sylhet recorded the highest rainfall at 51 millimeters.
