Protests in Sylhet Demanding Ban on Awami League

A. F. M. Asad Ullah:  Leaders and activists of the NCP and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement held protests in Sylhet demanding a ban on the Awami League.

The protesters staged a sit-in and demonstration in front of the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar on Saturday at 3 PM.

During the protest, participants chanted various slogans demanding the ban of the Awami League. Leaders and activists from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, National Citizen Party, and those involved in the July Movement participated in the sit-in and demonstration.

Speakers at the protest stated, “Awami League, as a political party, is responsible for acts of genocide. Therefore, it has no right to continue its political activities. The fascist Awami League must be banned immediately. Until this party is banned, the people will not return home.”
