Ashfaq Ahmed, Borolekha-Juri Correspondent: A protest rally was held on Friday (April 18) after Jummah prayers at the Uttar Choumuhoni roundabout in Borolekha municipality, Moulvibazar. The rally was organized by the Borolekha Upazila branch of the national social-volunteer organization “Nirapad Sarak Chai” (NISCHA) in protest against the brutal attacks and genocide by Israel in Palestine.
The rally was presided over by Tahmid Isad Ripon, President of NISCHA Borolekha branch. Speeches were delivered by Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Al Maruf, Maulana Mohammad Kamrul Islam, Haji Fakhr Uddin, President of the management committee of Nayagram Uttar Choumuhoni Jame Mosque, General Secretary Alhaj Mujibur Rahman, businessmen Faizur Rahman, Abdul Hannan, Abdus Shahid Khan, Islam Uddin, Abdur Razzak, permanent committee member of Borolekha Warriors Saraf Uddin, Vice President of NISCHA Borolekha Abdul Aziz, Publicity Secretary Redwan Ahmed, Social Welfare and Sports Secretary Nurul Alam Mohan, Executive Members Ajit Ravi Das, Zakaria Ahmed, Shahriar Shakil, Mahinur Islam Mahin, and Afzal Hossain Rumel, among others.
During the event, speakers expressed their deep concern over the ongoing genocide and human rights violations by Israeli forces in Palestine, which have shocked the global conscience. They urged the Muslim Ummah and humanitarian forces to immediately raise their voices against this atrocity and stand by the Palestinians.
The speakers called upon the United Nations and the international community to take effective action to stop these inhumane violations without delay.
Prayers were offered for the martyrs of Palestine, and a call was made for all Muslim countries to unite and take a stand in support of Palestine.
