Companiganj (Sylhet) correspondent: A protest meeting was held at the initiative of the locals in Dayar Bazar of Companiganj Upazila of Sylhet. The protest meeting was held at Dayar Bazar Point of the upazila on Sunday (May 11) at 4 pm.
The speakers at the protest meeting said that false propaganda is being spread against Companiganj Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Shawkat Ali Babul and Sylhet District Jubo Dal Joint General Secretary Ruhel Ahmed Bahar, District Jubo Dal Joint Organizing Secretary Mostakin Ahmed Farhad and Companiganj Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Convener Rajan Mia. They also said that the locals are extremely angry and shocked against the propaganda being spread with this false and fabricated information in various ways. Such propaganda is false, fabricated, baseless, purposefully motivated and imaginary. The locals said that a vested interest group is running such propaganda to achieve their interests.
The meeting was addressed by Jamal Uddin, member of the Companiganj Upazila Jubo Dal, Sujan Mahmud, former general secretary of the Islampur East Union Sechchhasebak Dal, Jubo Dal leader Wahid Reza, Companiganj Upazila Chhatra Dal leader Shamsuzzaman, Jabrul Alam, Badrul Alam, Dulal Mia, Al-Amin, etc., who spoke on behalf of the workers.
