Mirsarai (Chittagong) Correspondent: A woman victim has held a press conference on allegations of attempts to forcibly occupy and threats by illegally entering a house in Mirsarai, Chittagong, measuring the land and providing facilities.
At a press conference held at a local restaurant in Mirsarai on Saturday (October 18) afternoon, victim Sabrin Tahchina said that unidentified persons including Redwanul Haque Sohag and Azam Khan of Mehedinagar area of Purba Hinguli Union under Zorarganj police station forcibly entered her house on Thursday afternoon, measured the land and planted poles.
She alleged, When I protested at that time, they abused me in foul language and became arrogant to beat me. They even threatened to kill me.
Sabrin Tahsina added, A complaint has been filed with the Bariyarhat Municipality regarding the matter. They are trying to forcibly occupy the land before the complaint is settled.
The victim urged the administration to take steps to recover the land and ensure the safety of the family.
Her husband, Kazi Zaker, was present at the press conference.
When asked about the complaint, accused Azam Khan said, We were supposed to get the land, so we went to measure it. No one was threatened.
When asked about this, ASI Didar Hawlader of Zorarganj Police Station said, “We have received the complaint, legal action will be taken after contacting the plaintiff.
