Polytechnic Students Protest at Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar

District Correspondent, Sylhet: Students of Sylhet Polytechnic Institute staged a protest at the Central Shaheed Minar in Chowhatta, Sylhet, pressing for a six-point demand. The demonstration began at 12 noon on Sunday.

The protest was organized as part of a central program called by the ‘Technical Student Movement, Bangladesh.’

On the ground, it was observed that the protesting students had gathered at the premises of the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar and were chanting various slogans. Some of the slogans included: “Blood is boiling, Abu Sayeed, Mugdha, the fight isn’t over.”The tool for building the nation, rise once again.”Why the attack in Cumilla? We demand answers!” No more theatrical meetings, no more AC room discussions.”Polytechnic, unite, unite. “We have shed blood, we’ll shed more blood if needed. “Injustice will be swept away in a flood of blood.” Earlier, on Saturday at around 11:45 am, the students organized a program titled ‘Rise in Red.’ On Friday afternoon, they marched wearing shrouds tied to their heads.
