Leader files case against 4 leaders of anti-discrimination student movement

District Correspondent Sylhet: Sumaiya Akhter, joint organizer of the Sylhet District Convening Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has filed a case in court against four people, including Nurul Islam, member secretary of the same committee, on charges of rape, disappearance, death threats and attempted kidnapping. The accused in the case are Nurul Islam, member secretary of the Sylhet District Convening Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, joint convener of the same committee Salman Ahmed Khurshed (27), joint member secretaries Fakhrul Hasan (25) and Redwan Munsi (26).

She filed the case in the Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate 2nd Court on Wednesday. The case has been charged with rape, disappearance, death threats and attempted kidnapping.

The case states that on the afternoon of May 10, in front of Sarada Hall in the metropolis, the accused threatened to kidnap and rape the joint organizer of the Sylhet District Committee of the Student Movement Against Discrimination. During this time, the accused also tried to kidnap him. He filed a general diary in this regard at the Kotwali Model Police Station of the Sylhet Metropolitan Police.

The plaintiff’s lawyer Md. Wahidur Rahman said that the court has ordered the OC of the Kotwali Model Police Station to investigate the case.
