Independence and National Day Celebrated in Rajnagar

The Independence and National Day 2025 was celebrated with due dignity in Rajnagar, Moulvibazar. The day began with a 31-gun salute organized by the Upazila Administration at 5:50 AM. Later, floral tributes were offered at the Upazila Central Memorial by the Upazila Administration, freedom fighters, law enforcement agencies, political parties, various educational institutions, social organizations, and journalists.

At 9:00 AM, a parade was held on the grounds of Rajnagar Portius Model High School. During this time, the national flag was ceremonially hoisted by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Afroza Habib Shapla. Police, Ansar and VDP, students from schools, colleges, and madrasas participated in the parade.

At 11:30 AM, a discussion meeting, a reception for freedom fighters and family members of martyrs, and an award distribution ceremony were held under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Afroza Habib Shapla.

The program was conducted by Rezwanul Haque Pipul and Omar Faruq. Speeches were delivered by Rajnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Morshedul Hasan Khan, Upazila Social Services Officer Azadur Rahman, and former freedom fighter commander Sajal Chakraborty, among others.

Also in attendance were officials from various departments of the Upazila Administration and journalists.
