BNP is the guardian of the country’s independence and sovereignty: Salahuddin Ahmed

District Representative Sylhet: BNP National Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed said that the great independence proclaimer, martyr President Ziaur Rahman, abolished the country’s dictatorial constitution Baksal in the second National Parliament in 1989 and established a multi-party democratic constitution. He established unwavering faith and belief in Allah Almighty by including Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim in the constitution. He ensured equal rights for people of all religions in the country. By establishing equal rights for everyone on the basis of religion in the constitution, he ensured the freedom of religious practice for all people. He wanted to ensure that there would be no division in this country on the basis of religion, caste, language and nation, everyone is Bangladeshi. At the moment of rebuilding the country, he was martyred at the hands of evil-minded circles. But he remained alive in the heart

He said, only those who believe in Bangladeshi nationalism, who will identify themselves as Bangladeshis, can become members of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. BNP holds and cherishes every corner of this country. Although Bangladesh is officially said to have 180 million people, in reality it has now exceeded 190 million. Is BNP so desperate that it has to import members from the Awami League? Why should they be invited to become members of the BNP when democracy is not in the DNA of the Awami League? On August 5 last year, the people of Bangladesh expelled the Awami League. The Awami League is the worst genocidal group in history. They have died a political death. Till today, they have not shown any remorse or apologized for their misdeeds. On the contrary, they are calling the protesters during the mass uprising as miscreants. How can they do politics in Bangladesh? Our leader Tarique Rahman announced a 31-point program to repair the state structure in 2023 itself. We knew that one day the fascists would fall in a ruthless manner. Those who have killed, maimed, disappeared, and kidnapped the people of the country must be brought to justice. We must ensure that Bangladesh never again becomes a product of dictators or fascism.

Under the chairmanship of Alhaj GK Gauche, Organizing Secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee (Sylhet Division) and moderated by Joint Organizing Secretary Miftah Siddiqui, the program was addressed as a special guest by BNP National Executive Committee Treasurer M. Raseduzzaman Millat. The BNP Chairperson’s Advisors Dr. Enamul Haque Chowdhury, Ariful Haque Chowdhury and M.A. Malik, National Executive Committee Joint Organizing Secretary and former MP Kalim Uddin Ahmed Milon, National Executive Committee Joint Cooperative Affairs Secretary and former MP Shammi Akhter.

Speaking as a special guest, BNP National Executive Committee Treasurer M. Raseduzzaman Millat said that membership collection and renewal activities are very important. We will renew the old members. And those who are 18 years old, but are not members of any political party, who believe in the principles and ideals of our party, will be the new members. Those who cherish the ideals of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and trust the leadership of our national leader Begum Khaleda Zia can become new members. Those interested in becoming members in educational institutions can become members by providing all the information. A declaration form has been given with each form, which must be filled in. The young generation must be made members. But while recruiting members, we must be careful of the fascist Awami League. They should not become members in any way.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Quran by Maulana Nurul Haque, convener of the Sylhet District Ulama Party, was opened by BNP National Executive Committee Member (in charge of the office) Tariqul Alam Tenzin, and Sylhet District BNP President Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech.

Among others who spoke at the event were National Executive Committee member and former MP M. Naser Rahman, National Executive Committee member Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, National Executive Committee member and former MP Sheikh Sujat Mia, National Executive Committee member and UK BNP General Secretary Qaysor M Ahmed, Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Acting President Rezaul Hasan Qays Lodi, Moulvibazar District BNP Convener Fazlul Karim Mayun, Habiganj District BNP Joint Convener Mizanur Rahman.

In the president’s speech, BNP National Executive Committee Organizing Secretary (Sylhet Division) Alhaj GK Gaus said, “We will make the new generation of Hasina-free Bangladesh members of the party by inspiring them with the ideals of Shaheed Zia. However, we will all take care that the fascists’ friends do not enter the party by changing the party’s rules.”

Among others present were National Executive Committee Member Hadia Chowdhury Munni, Sylhet District BNP General Secretary Advocate Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, Sylhet Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Imdad Hossain Chowdhury, Moulvibazar District BNP Member Secretary Abdur Rahim Ripon, Sunamganj District BNP Member Secretary Abdul Haque, Habiganj District BNP Joint Convener Nurul Islam, JASAS Central Leader Syed Araful Kabir Khokon, etc.
