Ambassador Mushfiqur Fazal Ansari’s Father’s Passing: Ariful Haque Choudhury Expresses Condolences

A F M Asad Ullah: Ariful Haque Choudhury, former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation and adviser to three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Abdul Mosawwir Ansari, father of Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Mexico and journalist Mushfiqur Fazal Ansari, a distinguished son of Sylhet.

In a message of condolence, he stated, “The late Abdul Mosawwir Ansari, born into a prominent family of Sylhet, completed his primary education in Saudi Arabia and later pursued higher studies in Bombay. During his childhood, he spent a significant amount of time in Saudi Arabia, following the family tradition under the guidance of his father, the eminent Islamic scholar and spiritual leader Pir-e-Kamel Fazal Ansari. In his professional life, he dedicated a large part of his career to both local and international organizations, including the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, contributing to government Hajj operations.”

After enduring nine years of exile, Abdul Mosawwir Ansari passed away just three months after his return. He breathed his last on May 8 at 7:25 am at Dhaka CMH. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. He was 85 years old at the time of his death. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, three daughters, and numerous relatives and admirers.

Ariful Haque Choudhury conveyed his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
