The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted a raid at the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC). A Chattogram-1 enforcement team from the ACC’s district office carried out the operation to investigate various irregularities and corruption within the organization.
The raid took place on Thursday (April 10) at the office of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.
The ACC reported that the raid was conducted based on clear allegations of nepotism, harassment of seafarers, irregularities in the selection of seafarers, and discrimination.
During the operation, the enforcement team questioned individuals related to the allegations and collected some relevant documents immediately.
Subel Ahmed, Deputy Director of ACC Chattogram-1, said, “We conducted this raid based on specific allegations. During the raid, we collected some relevant records. The enforcement team will review all the documents related to the allegations and submit a comprehensive report to the commission later.”
