Barolekha (Moulvibazar) Correspondent: Police have arrested Yusuf Uddin, a border drug dealer, in a special operation conducted in the dark of night in the remote area of Barolekha in Moulvibazar. During this, 123 pieces of Yaba tablets and 700 grams of cannabis were recovered from him.
He was arrested from his house in a special operation that lasted about an hour and a half led by SI Subrata Kumar Das of Barolekha Police Station on Tuesday night.
The arrested drug dealer Yusuf Uddin is the son of the deceased Sharbat Ali of Shatmarpar village. On Wednesday afternoon, the police showed him to be arrested in a case under the Narcotics Control Act and sent him to jail through the court.
Barolekha Police Station OC Md. Mahbubur Rahman Molla said that the accused Yusuf Uddin is a professional drug dealer. There are several drug cases against him in the police station. He was arrested and searched at his home on Tuesday night in a special operation at great risk, and Yaba tablets and marijuana were recovered. He was sent to jail by the court on Wednesday afternoon.
