Shatmakantha newspaper’s seasonal fruit festival in Borlekha

Shatmakantha newspaper’s exceptional seasonal fruit festival has been organized in Baralekha, Moulvibazar. Organized by Shatma Media Limited at the Shatmakantha office on Friday (June 20) afternoon, the festival has spread excitement among the local people and has also spread fruit-based awareness among everyone.

As soon as you enter the venue, you can see the glimpse of all the seasonal fruits in full bloom. The entire premises are decorated in colors. The scent of green raw mangoes and yellow ripe mangoes, the intense aroma of jackfruit, the sour-sweet beauty of litchi, the nobility of jamrul, the captivating aroma of jam and pineapple create an unprecedented atmosphere.
These fruits, which are associated with the rural tradition of Bengalis, seem to bring new life to people. The fruit baskets were decorated with mango, jackfruit, litchi, jam, latkan, pineapple, palm, jamrul, kotbel, karamcha, amra, gutijam, cow fruit, and dewa fruit, all of which seemed to be nature’s colors all together.

The event, organized under the chairmanship of Shatmakantha newspaper editor-publisher and Shatma Media Limited chairman Abul Kasem and moderated by news editor Tahmeed Ishad Ripon, was attended by Ashfaq Ahmed, Upazila representative of Shatmakantha newspaper, who recited the Quran.

Monowar Hossain, Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and former Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Emadul Islam, former principal of Juri TN Khanam College Arun Chandra Das, principal of Juri Shah Nimatra College Zahir Uddin, former president of Barolekha Press Club Asit Ranjan Das, current president Anwarul Islam, former principal (acting) of Barolekha Government Degree College Md. Niaz Uddin, Assistant Professor of Nari Shiksha Academy Degree College Mosharraf Hossain Sabuj, Editor of Notun Barakantha Pratrika Rashid Ahmed Khan, Assistant Headmaster of Baralekha Girls High School Mainul Islam, Deputy General Secretary of Dakshinbhag Union BNP Hafez Khalilur Rahman Shahin, General Secretary of Upazila Sammilit Sangskritik Jote Tapan Chowdhury, General Secretary of Tarunya Natya Gosthi Shuvashis De Shuvro, Journalist Mohammad Hanif Parvez, Upazila Scout Leader Halimatun Sadia Lili, Cultural Personality Mujibur Rahman, General Secretary of Upazila Nischa Ainul Islam were also present.

Also present were Rajnagar Upazila Assistant Agriculture Officer Jisshu Das, Lecturer of Baralekha Government Degree College Md. Jasim Uddin, Headmaster of Halla Government Primary School Bishu Pad Chakraborty, Chief Executive Officer of Maasranga Publications, Writer Mrinal Kanti Das, Marketing Officer Amlan Das Sourav, Upazila CoA President Farhad Hossain, Businessman Nader Ahmed, Shahed Ahmed Pabel, Farhad Ahmed and Maasranga Publications Bookshop Manager Nayan Chakraborty.

Meanwhile, Shatmakantha Newspaper Multimedia In-charge Afzal Hossain Rumel, Municipality Representative Redwan Ahmed, Sadar Union Representative Nizam Uddin, South Shahbazpur Union Representative Shahriar Shakil, South Shahbazpur Union Representative Ajit Rabidas-Shaifur Rahman, Nijbahadurpur Union Representative Ehsan Ahmed, Borni Union Representative Mahinur Islam Mahin expressed their brief feelings.
