Borlekha (Moulvibazar) Correspondent: New Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baralekha Police Station Mahbubur Rahman Molla held a meeting with journalists working in various media outlets and affiliated with Baralekha Press Club in Baralekha, Moulvibazar.
The meeting was held at the OC’s office in the police station complex at 9 pm on Friday (June 20). He joined Baralekha Police Station as Officer-in-Charge last (June 14).
During the meeting, journalists raised various problems including drugs, gambling, smuggling in the upazila with the OC and suggested solutions to them.
Seeking cooperation from journalists in carrying out their professional duties, new OC Mahbubur Rahman Molla said that it is not possible for the police alone to control law and order, bring criminals under the law and eradicate crime. Journalists can play an important role in this regard. For this, your cooperation is very much needed. He hopes that journalists will always stand by the police and cooperate in curbing crime. By publishing factual news, a journalist plays an important role in building a humane society and establishing justice in society. He expressed his firm belief that police and journalists will work together to ensure the safety of people’s lives and property and eradicate crime.
