Mohammad Khorshed Helali Cox’s Bazar: The joint forces have raided the den of Shahinur Rahman Shahin alias Dakat Shahin, an accused in many cases including border smuggling, weapons, and drugs in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.
A top official of the Cox’s Bazar District Police confirmed the matter.
He said that a team of the joint forces raided the den of Shahin in the Majhirkata area of Ramu from 4 am to 6 am on Sunday.
At that time, 19 rounds of various rifle bullets, 1 money counting machine, 2 knives, 1 laptop, and 4 IP cameras were recovered from the newly built house of the robber Shahin. However, the robber Shahin could not be found at that time.
Police sources say that robber Shaheen is a fugitive accused in about 17 cases, including C, R and G, R cases and GDs. Out of his two dozen cases, 9 are robberies, robbery preparations and kidnappings, 4 murder cases, two weapons cases, two drug cases and the rest are under GDs in different police stations.
Law enforcement agencies said that the ongoing investigation against Shaheen has been intensified and joint forces are working to arrest him quickly.
