District Correspondent, Sylhet: The convening committee of the Sylhet Metropolitan unit of Arafat Rahman Koko Sports Club, one of the country’s prominent sports organizations, has been approved.
On Friday, the 89-member committee was approved by the club’s president Nazim Uddin Alam, general secretary Md. Shamimur Rahman Shamim, and office secretary Md. Shamsuddin Bhuiyan.
In the newly formed committee, renowned sports organizer Abdul Mumin Mamun has been appointed as the convener, while athlete Ekram Ahmed has been named the member secretary.
Sports stakeholders expressed hope that the newly formed committee will play an effective role in advancing sports development in Sylhet Metropolitan.
