Youth Abducted Again in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar

Mohammad Khorshed Helali, Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: A youth was abducted by armed miscreants while collecting thatch from the deep forests of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The incident occurred at around 7:00 AM on Monday (April 14).

The abducted individual, Mohammad Delwar (25), is the son of the late Abdul Karim Mistri from the Marishbania area.

Local representative Farid Ullah confirmed the incident.

He said that three individuals from the area went to the hills to collect thatch in the morning. At that time, an armed group chased them, capturing one person while the other two managed to escape. So far, the kidnappers have not made any contact. The matter has been reported to the authorities.

Inspector Shubho Ranjan Saha, in charge of the Baharchhara Police Investigation Center in Teknaf, said he is aware of the abduction incident. Police are working on the matter.
