Chattogram Sangbadik Sangstha (ChaSAS) organized a memorial meeting and luncheon in remembrance of the late Chandan Kumar Biswas, the esteemed father-in-law of ChaSAS Executive Member and Dainik Ajker Bangla Chattogram Correspondent Tushar Das. The event was held on Thursday (April 10) at 12:00 PM at Saddle Peak Restaurant, located at Kali Bari Mor, Sadarghat, Chattogram.
Former Senior Vice-President of BNP Chattogram Metropolitan and former Convener of South Chattogram District BNP, Alhaj Abu Sufian, attended the event as the chief guest. In his speech, he said, “Chandan Kumar Biswas was an honest, self-reliant, and compassionate man. This gathering proves that good people never truly leave us—they remain alive in our memories and values.”
He further added, “Our political philosophy must be rooted in a deep sense of responsibility to the people and the spirit of patriotism. Acting Chairman of BNP and people’s leader, Tarique Rahman, embodies these ideals. Under his leadership, we have endured oppression and made sacrifices, but never strayed from our principles. Today, journalists face numerous challenges. I assure you that Tarique Rahman and all of us stand firmly beside the journalists. It is our responsibility to support free and just journalism, and we are committed to that cause.”
