Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Sylhet Metropolitan Branch organized a protest and human chain in the capital, condemning the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians by Israeli forces in Gaza and demanding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. During the program, they called for a boycott of all Israeli products.
The program was held on Wednesday afternoon in front of the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar. Leaders and activists from various wards of the metropolitan area participated in the event.
During the protest, Shibir leaders said, “The occupying Israeli forces are attacking Palestinian Muslims. Thousands of our brothers and sisters have already been unjustly killed and martyred. Our brothers are being oppressed in every aspect—food, clothing, healthcare, education, electricity, and water. Due to the lack of food, Palestinians are crying out and dying. As Muslims, we cannot remain silent in such a situation.”
They further stated, “A movement must be built against the occupying Israeli forces and their allies, America and India. At the same time, all commercial ties with them must be severed. Israeli products must be boycotted. We must play a leading role in raising awareness and fostering movements in every school, college, and university.”
