As in previous years, Nasihah Foundation is once again providing separate Quran, prayer, and various religious teachings to children, teenagers, and adults in Sylhet. The activities of the Foundation’s “Tadribul Quran” project began on the 1st of Ramadan.
Every day from Zuhr to 3 PM, children are taught Surahs, supplications, and Durood. Teenagers are provided lessons on Juz Amma and Quran recitation, while separate training is held for adults. Proper ablution techniques, Surah recitation, prayer instructions, and daily life rulings are taught with precision.
The project was initiated by Mufti Shaikh Habib Nuh and Mufti Shamim Muhammad to realize the vision of the late prominent businessman of Sylhet, Alhaj Abdus Salam (Rahimahullah), a resident of Raynagar Sonarpara area in Sylhet city.
This year, the “Tadribul Quran” project is being conducted in four mosques in East Sylhet and will continue until the 24th of Ramadan. During visits, it was observed that over 400 participants are receiving training in the four centers.
The Quran training centers under Nasihah include the Raynagar Sonarpara Jame Mosque, Bater Tal Baitur Rahman Jame Mosque, Banshidhar Central Jame Mosque in Khadimpara Union (Ward No. 4), and Banshidhar Baitul Muqarram Jame Mosque.
According to Nasihah sources, the Foundation bears the cost of books and other educational materials and even provides certificates and generous rewards after the examination. Teachers are giving utmost priority to training both children and adults, serving the Quran with great sincerity.
Hafiz Hasan Bin Abdul Latif, the supervisor of the Raynagar Sonarpara Jame Mosque center, remarked, “Nasihah Foundation’s initiative is commendable. Tender-aged children, teenagers, and adults are acquiring the ability to recite the Quran correctly. If such a noble endeavor continues year-round, it will bring immense benefits to the Muslim Ummah.”
Maulana Moinul Islam, the supervisor of Banshidhar Central Jame Mosque, commented, “Due to Nasihah’s initiative, children, teenagers, young adults, and the elderly are experiencing the joy of reciting the Quran accurately and learning various rulings for daily life. On behalf of the community, I express gratitude to Nasihah.”
Mufti Shaikh Habib Nuh, a renowned scholar and the visionary behind Nasihah Foundation, said, “Ramadan is the month of Quran revelation. It brings a golden opportunity for us to learn the Quran. It is our religious obligation to take this opportunity and learn Quranic teachings. Without correct recitation, prayers will not be valid, and if prayers are inadequate, our relationship with Allah will not be proper. My late father, Alhaj Abdus Salam (Rahimahullah), dearly wished to spread Quranic education among Muslim youth and adults. He envisioned creating centers or madrasahs in every locality so that everyone could learn the Quran properly.”
The centers are supervised by the project’s chairman, Alhaj Abdur Rakib Ruku. Nasihah Foundation inspectors, Qari Maulana Atiqur Rahman Nagri and Md. Dildar Hossain, oversee the centers.
Through excellent management and promotion, Nasihah’s initiative is being skillfully advanced by key members of the Foundation, Alhaj Abdul Allam Ramim and Alhaj Abdul Qayyum.
