High Court Ruling: Medical Degree Mandatory for Using the Title ‘Doctor’

The High Court has ruled that only individuals with MBBS or BDS degrees are permitted to use the title ‘Doctor’ before their names. Using the title without such qualifications will be considered a violation of the law.

The court stated that this ruling will come into effect from March 13. Those who have used the title ‘Doctor’ without proper degrees up to this point will not face any punitive action. However, anyone violating the law after this date will face legal consequences.

This ruling aims to ensure discipline in the medical sector and protect the public from deception.
