60 kmph storm possible in Sylhet region

District Representative Sylhet: Storms may occur at a speed of 60 kmph in Sylhet region. Therefore, the number one warning signal has been raised in the river ports of those areas.

The Meteorological Office has forecasted this on Monday.

Meteorologist Md. Toriful Newaz Kabir said that temporary gusty/stormy winds with a speed of 45-60 kmph may blow from the west/northwest direction through Sylhet region. The number one warning signal has been asked to be displayed in the river ports of these areas.

The forecast given till the evening said that temporary gusty winds with lightning/light to moderate rain/thunderstorm may occur in many places of Sylhet division. Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some places of Sylhet division.
