6 Drug Traffickers Arrested with Yaba in Teknaf by Coast Guard and RAB

Mohammad Khoursed Helaly, Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Six drug traffickers were arrested with 40,770 pieces of yaba in a joint operation conducted by the Coast Guard and RAB in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

The arrestees are Amir Sultan (52), Robi Alam (42), Dil Mohammad (38), Nurunnabi (28), Eman Hossain (32), and Zayed Hossain (18).

Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque provided this information on Sunday (April 13).

He stated that based on secret information, a joint operation was conducted on Saturday by the Shah Porir Coast Guard Outpost and RAB-15 CPC-1 in the sea area near the Jhor Tower under Teknaf Police Station. During the operation, a suspicious engine-driven wooden boat was searched, leading to the arrest of six drug traffickers along with 40,770 pieces of yaba. It has been confirmed that all of them are citizens of Myanmar. Legal actions have been taken against them, the Coast Guard officer added.
